Semitronix Strengthens EDA Products Portfolio as the Major Shareholder of YiChip

On September 26th, the Board of Directors formally reviewed and approved Semitronix’s strategic investment into Shanghai YiChip Electronic Technology (YiChip) as its major shareholder. .

This major investment in YiChip marks a significant milestone for Semitronix, formally expanding the EDA products portfolio into the Design for Testing (DFT) field. This move holds great importance in terms of business synergy with Semitronix’s EDA, design and testing business areas, and Semitronix can rise to meet the new industry needs for the emerging automotive, new energy, telecommunications and computing applications. YiChip’s expertise in DFT services is highly synergistic with Semitronix's existing yield enhancement system and workflows, further connecting the silicon lifecycle data chain from design to manufacturing and testing. This enables Semitronix to provide customers with an even more comprehensive and high-quality total solution for Yield Enhancement, starting from chip DFT design automation to yield enhancement EDA products, testing technologies and technical services. Leveraging YiChip’s business and integrating the DFT technology deeply into Semitronix’s existing products and yield ecosystem, new collaborative synergies are formed between chip design, manufacturing and testing. Semitronix is poised to enter new markets with broader overall customer base.  This investment will help accelerates our technical and business strategies to provide additional value to the semiconductor industry.
